Telangana to develop Taiwan Industrial Park.

A team from Taiwan Electrical and Electronic Manufacturers’ Association (TEEMA) and Taipei Economic and Cultural Center (TECC) met the Hon’ble Minister for IT E&C, Industries & Commerce, MA & UD, Sri K.T. Rama Rao. The delegation from Taiwan was led by H.E Bau-Shuan Ger, Taiwan Representative to India and Mr. Richard Lee, Chairman of TEEMA.
The delegates discussed a wide range of topics ranging from trade and economic cooperation to cultural exchange programs. Minister KTR spoke about Telangana’s unique TS-iPASS system which bestows upon the investor the right to get time bound clearances to start their businesses. The minister also highlighted the need to create “A dedicated industrial park in the State for Taiwanese companies and jointly work with industry and trade organizations of Taiwan to take it forward.”
He also mentioned about the widespread use of IT & Electronics in all spheres of life right from Healthcare, Life Sciences, Automobiles, Defense & Aerospace, and the new age of Startups working on Tech Innovation, and how the State succeeds in having their sectoral advantage.
Hon’ble Minister explained the various measures adopted by the government to improve the Ease of doing business in the state and the prevailing conducive investor friendly ecosystem. He also extended his warm invitation to the Startups / MSMEs from Taiwan to come and collaborate with T-Works (India’s largest prototyping & design campus) & T Hub (World’s largest incubation campus) at Hyderabad.
H.E Bau-Shuan Ger, Taiwan Representative to India also extended his assurance to the minister of continued support from Taiwan and the companies who are willing to setup & expand. He also mentioned that this is his 1st visit to Hyderabad and he is astounded to see this kind of proactive & vibrant ecosystem. He also mentioned that not only manufacturing but he looks at bringing the banking institutions from Taiwan to India to facilitate SMEs & promote collaboration opportunities.
Mr. Richard Lee, Chairman of TEEMA also expressed his views by saying that coming to Hyderabad was a home coming. He strongly vowed that Industry from both the countries and especially Telangana and Taiwan should focus on creating opportunities across Research & Design, Innovation, Product Development & Manufacturing.
Principal Secretary ITE&C, Industries and Commerce Mr. Jayesh Ranjan said, “We appreciate their gesture of undertaking travel & visiting Hyderabad & we look forward to welcome them and take these discussions ahead”
On these lines, Director Electronics, EV and ESS, Mr. Sujai Karampuri in his presentation briefed the delegation on the State’s ecosystem and business friendly policies & extended his invitation to the delegation to partner and be a part of Telangana’s growth story.
