TDP, YSRCP should ensure T-Bill is passed: Prof Kodandaram

T-JAC president Prof M. Kodandaram demanded that the resolution on a separate state of Telangana should be passed by the State Legislative Assembly and wondered why the leaders of various political parties who were favourable to the formation of a new state, were silent on the issue.

Speaking on the occasion of the sixth anniversary celebrations of Telangana Malamahanadu in the town on Sunday, Kodandaram said if a resolution on Telangana is passed in the Assembly, it would be easy to identify who were in favour and who were against the Telangana state. He lashed out at the leaders for not waging an intensive struggle to bring pressure on the Central and State governments to create the new state.

Prof Kodandaram said a huge rally would be organized in February next to the State Assembly in which several lakhs of people would participate if the Central Government failed to take any decision on the formation of Telangana.

He said it was only the rich who were opposed to the formation of Telangana and it was high time that they changed their attitude. Among those who participated in the meeting were the state president of Malamahanadu Addanki Dayakar, Rasamayee Balakishan, Osmania University Joint Action Committee leaders and thousands of Malamahanadu activists.
