UPA Chairperson Sonia Gandhi has finally opened her mouth on the Telangana statehood issue. Speaking to the media persons on the issue during the inauguration of the National Media Centre in New Delhi, Sonia said “decision on Telangana is over and there is no going back or changing the decision now”.
Sonia Gandhi had promised Telangana state during her election campaigns in 2004 and 2009. But after the historic Dec 9, 2009 statement, she has never uttered anything on the issue.
With her latest statement, the Congress president made it abundantly clear that the decision to create Telangana state is final.
