The Bihar chief minister Mr Nitish Kumar who severed his alliance with the BJP said he doubts if the BJP will return to power in the 2024 elections.

Calling for the unity of all Opposition parties, he said he would not fear ED, CBI, or IT raids instigated by Modi’s government.

Mr Nitish Kumar of JD took oath for the eighth time as chief minister of Bihar while RJD’s Tejaswi Yadav was sworn in as deputy chief minister.

The JD leader Mr Nitish Kumar formed the government with the help of RJD and later joined the alliance with the BJP. As the BJP was trying to destabilise his government by encouraging his party leader Mr R P Singh as it did in Maharashtra, he was forced to come out of the alliance. He again forged an alliance with the old friend RDJ.

Mr Nitish Kumar could smell the nefarious designs of the BJP and without taking any chance he dealt the first blow. The BJP was taken aback by the sudden development.

The BJP top leaders including Mr Amith Shah have been keeping a tab over the developments in Bihar on day to day basis and instigating some leaders to revolt against Mr Nitish Kumar. However, Mr Nitish Kumar maintained silence and went on observing the developments.

The JD and RJD leaders are accusing the BJP government of trying to implicate them in false cases and terrorise them. However, they said they would not bow.

The TRS working president and IT minister Mr K T Rama Rao congratulated Mr Tejaswi Yadav on assuming as deputy chief minister of Bihar. The latter thanked the minister in his reply stating: “Thank you, brother”.
