KTR Accuses Centre Of “Discriminating” Against Telangana

The Telangana IT minister Mr K T Rama Rao said in the last seven years not a single central institution was sanctioned to the state.

in his reply to the tweet posted by Prime Minister Modi, Mr Rao said that on the National Youth Day on behalf of the youth and students of Telangana, he requests the central government to amend its discriminatory policies.

The central government sanctioned seven IIMs, seven IITs, two IISERs, 16 IIITs, four NIDs, 84 Navodaya schools, and 157 medical colleges across the country but not a single institution was sanctioned to Telangana state.

The much-promised Tribal University in the state re-organisation Act was also denied to date to Telangana state.

Responding to his Twitter message, many responded stating that it was unfortunate that the Central government discriminated against Telangana state. The state has got enough talent and bright students. Some went to ask how the BJP can seek votes from Telangana people while denying it its share in the national development.

Some followers of Mr KTR said the Telangana state is now a talent hub and the students and youth need to be nurtured by setting up more educational institutions but unfortunately the BJP turned a blind eye to Telangana state.

“Except craving for power in Telangana, what did the BJP do to the state?” another sought to know.
