Panchayat Raj minister Errabelli Dayakar Rao described the BJP public meeting at Arts college grounds in Hanamkonda as a flop show. There was no response from people and the party leaders brought people from other districts. The leaders failed to impress upon people as they have no agenda to tell. They restricted to old rhetoric criticising TRS, Mr KCR and his family members.
Mr Dayakar Rao, MLCs Baswaraju Saraiah and K Srihari and MLA A Ramesh and others were present. Mr Dayakar Rao challenged the BJP leaders to join him in padayatra in any BJP-ruled state to know what welfare measures are being taken there more than in the Telangana state. Instead of telling people about what they will do and what they are doing in BJP-ruled states, the leaders bored people with their vile speeches.
Belonging to Telangana, Mr Kishan Reddy failed to bring a single project or talk in favour of Telangana. He should be ashamed of himself for not even pressing for the implementation of promises made in the bifurcation Act. There is no mention of any promises, tribal university, railway coach factory, or steel plant at Bayyaram in their speeches. Mr Nadda just read the script handed over by the local pseudo-intellectuals of the party.
The BJP leaders spread false information on Central funds to Telangana. It was the Telangana state that gave more funds by way of taxes to the Centre but in return, it did not get enough allocations. Mr Modi gave huge sums to Uttar Pradesh and Gujarat for road projects and other schemes. Not even 25 percent of that is given to Telangana, Mr Dayakar Rao pointed out.
BJP is a cheap party that is toppling the democratically elected governments in states. They do not have enough dare to accept the defeat, the minister said.
