Be wary of divisive forces, CM KCR tells people.

Inaugurating the fortnight-long diamond jubilee celebrations of Indian Independence day celebrations, chief minister Mr K Chandrasekhar Rao cautioned people against the divisive forces in the country.

He said certain elements are trying to instigate people and create hatred among them for their selfish ends. The country in the recent past witnessed some political parties and leaders who were out maligning the Father of the Nation, Mahatma Gandhi. “How shamelessly some people are trying to erase our own history and culture in the name of religion,” Mr KCR lamented.

Addressing the gathering after unfurling the national flag at HICC, Hyderabad on Monday, the chief minister pointed out that the country attained freedom after a prolonged struggle. Forefathers Sardar Vallabhai Patel was instrumental in uniting the 584 princely states while Nehru and Gandhi and hundreds of people sacrificed much for the cause. Any attempt to disturb the social fabric of the country should be condemned by one and all.

He urged the youth to inculcate patriotic spirit and strive for national integration. The Telangana state government is striving hard to bring equality among all sections and eradicate poverty. All the citizens in the state should take part in the mass rendering of the national anthem.

“The poverty leads to unrest in the society. Efforts are being made by the Telangana government to bring peace and harmony through welfare and development programmes where every section gets its due in all spheres of life,” Mr KCR pointed out.

The Telangana government would deal sternly with any political party or individuals who try to create violence for their political mileage.

The chief minister congratulated P V Sindhu, Nikhat Zareen, and other sports persons who shined at the Commonwealth games at Birmingham, Britain, and made the country proud.

Mr KCR also listed out achievements and efforts being made by the ruling TRS government in Telangana state.
