Telangana CM Mr K. Chandrashekar Rao called on the Governor Mr ESL Narasimhan today. Issues they might discuss include the latest developments in cash for vote scam and also the report by attorney general regarding section 8.
Strong Opposition to Section 8:
Many national and state-level leaders and democratic forces including chief ministers of a few states have expressed their displeasure on the proposal of implementation of section 8. It’s against the federal spirit, they remarked and expressed their solidarity with KCR and the state government in fighting against the implementation. It has been suggested that a nation wide protest should be called for and if needed go on an indefinite fast in Delhi in the process of putting up a strong resistance. They reiterated that law and order is in place in Hyderabad and people are living in peace and harmony. There is absolutely no threat to any section of the society. It’s only Chandrababu Naidu, to protect himself from ‘the note for vote scam’ bringing section 8 to the surface and playing dirty politics.
