Telangana builds 14000 toilets in govt schools

Telangana state government is about to complete construction of toilets in all the government schools, in a couple of days.

Within a span of three months, about 14250 toilets were constructed in various government schools in the state. The union government has applauded the state education department officials for completing this humongous task in time.

T Chiranjeevulu, Commissioner, Telangana School Education said, “Credit needs to be given for that because we completed 14,256 toilets in May, June and July alone. It is a great accomplishment. We really worked hard. The 260 odd toilets remaining are to be constructed by Public Sector Undertakings (PSU). It will be done in two or three days.”

Notably Andhra Pradesh government came in from severe criticism from union government, for failing to meet the deadline. Almost 10000 more toilets need to be built in schools in AP.
