Telangana government promoted technology incubator T-Hub has partnered with Israeli university, Tel Aviv’s entrepreneurship centre StarTAU on Wednesday.

In a joint statement, they said this collaboration will create an international gateway for exchange of start-ups between Hyderabad and Israel. The memorandum, which was signed at the TAU Innovation Conference in Israel, launches a series of programs – including an accelerator program in India and Israel.

T-Hub aims to give five innovators a chance to explore the start-up ecosystem in Tel Aviv. Similarly, five entrepreneurs from Israel would be invited to explore the start-up market in the city, under T-Hub’s recent collaboration with ICRISAT.

Further, they also plan to invite health technology start-ups from Israel to be a part of its pre-acceleration programs. Another program, expected to take off in July is the Pears Challenge – through which a 36-hour long hackathon will take place in India and Israel simultaneously, to focus on health technology.

“We are excited about this partnership and are looking forward to seeing Indian and Israeli entrepreneurs push the innovation envelope and co-create new market opportunities while transforming India’s landscape,” said Jay Krishnan, T-Hub’s CEO.
