State Government Propose Second Phase of T-Hub on Republic Day

Telangana State government proposed second phase of T-Hub with an investment of Rs 150 crore. With the built up area will be around three lakh sq feet, the second phase of T-Hub is scheduled for roll out by end of 2016.

Telangana State Governor ESL Narasimhan, after unfurling the national flag at Parade Grounds in Hyderabad on Tuesday on the occasion of Republic Day, said that T-Hub was a novel public-private partnership between the State government and premier national academic institutes such as IIIT-H, ISB and NALSAR.

The Governor said that the State had notched up exports of Rs 68,258 crore with as many as 1,300 IT units having their operations, which including 500 global companies with global footprints.

The IT Infrastructure Region (ITIR) being promoted with the Central government’s support in and around Hyderabad was geared to generate IT Exports of Rs 2.35 lakh crore and expected to create a direct employment to 15 lakh and an indirect employment to 53 lakh, the Governor said.

Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao, Union Minister Bandaru Dattatreya and others were present.
