Secretariat: TS Takes Control of Two Bldgs

The Telangana government took control over two buildings near old entrance of the Secretariat for administrative reasons. These two buildings were not allocated to any state during the division of Secretariat buildings.

The blocks A,B,C and D were allotted to Telangana Secretariat and J,K,L, H (South and H (North) blocks to AP Secretariat.

However, there was no mention about two single storeyed buildings and other rooms situated on south side of the old entrance gate. These two unallocated buildings were taken over by the Telangana government on Friday. Orders to this effect were issued by chief secretary Rajiv Sharma.

The orders stated that “it seems, the single storeyed buildings and other rooms vested with the government of Telangana. Under unavoidable circumstances, Telangana government has decided to take over two single storeyed buildings and other rooms situated on south side of the old entrance gate with immediate effect for office accommodation to officials of Telangana Secretariat.’’

The orders also stated that the general administration (SB) department of the Andhra Pradesh Secretariat was requested to take necessary action to vacate the single storeyed building, under their occupation, including GA (NRI) department’s attestation counter immediately.

The Telangana government requested Andhra Pradesh Secretariat officials to issue instructions to engineering staff to stop the work in the single storeyed building.
