The year 2019 is expected to start on a positive note for Telangana. IT and Industries Minister KT Rama Rao has been invited to the 49th World Economic Forum Annual Meeting which will be held in Davos-Klosters, Switzerland.
The annual meeting will take place between 22 – 25 January 2019 with the theme ‘Globalization 4.0: Shaping a Global Architecture in the Age of the Fourth Industrial Revolution.’
Appreciating the work of Minister KT Rama Rao in the IT and Industrial sector, Børge Brende, President of the World Economic Forum in a letter to Minister KT Rama Rao, said, “Your leadership has led to the launch of various forward-looking initiatives in Telangana that emphasize the role of technology, entrepreneurship, and innovation in enhancing the state’s growth and competitiveness.”
“Participants in the meeting will benefit from your vision and insights on a range of reforms at the core of your governance agenda, including urban development, digitization, ease of doing business, job creation, and transparency in governance,” he added.
Close to 3,000 leaders from government, business, and civil society are expected to take part in the meeting. This multi-stakeholder gathering is expected to shape up the global agenda at the beginning of the year.
