KTR Financial Assistance to movie artist ‘Nagaiah Aka’ known as ‘Sircilla Ramulu’

IT Minister KT Rama Rao handed over Rs.1 lakh as financial assistance to movie artiste Nagaiah, who is popularly known for his role in a Telugu movie ‘Vedam’ as ‘Sircilla Ramulu’.

A netizen who informed KT Rama Rao about the plight of Nagaiah on tweet. Rama Rao invited the actor to Hyderabad on Monday and handed over the financial assistance. Rama Rao also contacted Movie Artist Association (MAA) president Rajendra Prasad and discussed the plight of Nagaiah. Nagaiah based from Guntur district in Andhra Pradesh.

Rama Rao said the government would soon come up with a policy in helping poor and aged movie artistes. He also directed the officials concerned to sanction a monthly pension of `1,500 to Nagaiah. He assured that Nagaiah’s son, who is working as a light man in the film industry, would be allotted a flat in the housing project for film artistes planned by the government.
