Unlike past chief ministers, Rao took on the spot decisions on various issues. He gave the impression that he would be coming out with an industryfriendly policy. The session with industrialists over preparation of the new industrial policy was held here on Tuesday in a lively manner.

The industrialists, who included those from Delhi and other places, were spellbound by the plans of KCR. At the beginning of the session, the chief minister, who was assisted by a battery of officials, including chief secretary Rajiv Sharma, said he would set the tone for the state. After a five-and-a-half hours marathon session, the industrialists gave a standing ovation to the chief minister with an assurance: ‘’We will match the tone set by you. Never in the past that a chief minister held a such a meeting.

We thank you,’’ the industrialists said. Around 44 industry associations were invited for the interactive session. The chief minister said that he was holding the meeting to frame a new policy for the industry, for the betterment of state’s financial situation and to provide jobs to youths.

Though the chief minister held several review meetings with officials over the preparation of new industrial policy recently, the first meeting was held with industrialists to know the requirements directly from them. Chandrasekhar Rao said that a single window system would be introduced in the state for according permission to new industries. ‘’The best single window policy is in force in Singapore.

Our single window will be better than Singapore,” Rao assured. He also stated that Plug and Play system like in China would be introduced for industrialists. Rao declared tennis player Sania Mirza as brand ambassador for Telangana state. However, an industrialist remarked: “Sir, you are elected by the people. You have impressed the industry today.
