Japanese Businessmen Keen to Invest in Hyderabad

Japanese industrialists are keen to invest in Telangana, specially in Hyderabad.

A 13-member Friendship Exchange Council (FEC) of Japan called on chief secretary Rajiv Sharma at the Secretariat here on Friday. Speaking to reporters later, FEC advisor Hiroshi Hirabayashi said “Hyderabad is centrally located in India and we are keen to invest in this part of the country.’’

He said that the delegation would tour the city. “Hyderabad is known for its IT industry and we are keen to invest in the city.

Hiroshi said they would visit one city in India every year besides Delhi. “This year we are visiting Hyderabad. FEC has 1,000 members, including big industrialists,” he added.

Meanwhile, during an interactive session, Rajiv Sharma explained the 13 growth centres that were coming up in the city.

He told the visiting Japanese delegation that the TS government was keen in attracting investments in 14 major industries and wanted them to explore the possibilities in these industries.
