Governor Narasimhan flagged off Metro services on Ameerpet-LB Nagar route

Governor ESL Narasimhan and Chief Secretary SK Joshi flagged off the Metro Rail services from Ameerpet to LB Nagar today.

After flagging off ceremony, the duo along with Ministers KT Rama Rao, T.Srinivas Yadav, Naini Narasimha Reddy, and Padma Rao traveled in metro from Ameerpet to LB Nagar.

The Ameerpet – LB Nagar metro line is open for public from 6 pm onwards.

Addressing the media on the occasion, Governor appealed to the citizens to use Metro extensively as it would reduce pollution and fuel consumption.

Governor E.S.L. Narasimhan along with Ministers inspected the MGBS Interchange Metro Rail station which is considered as one of the biggest Metro Rail stations in Asia.

After the metro ride, Governor E.S.L. Narasimhan and Minister KT Rama Rao taking a bicycle ride from Khairatabad metro station to Raj Bhavan.

The new metro line from Ameerpet to LB Nagar connects 17 stations covering 16 Kilometers. This new line is expected to provide faster and safer commute for the public.

Mayor Bonthu Rammohan, MA&UD Principal Secretary Arvind Kumar, Hyderabad Metro Rail MD NVS Reddy and HoDs of MA&UD were the other dignitaries who participated in the program.
