Noted Telangana activist, intellectual and journalist Ghanta Chakrapani has taken charge as the first Chairman of Telangana State Public Service Commission. Earlier, Chakrapani and other members of TSPSC paid respects at the Martyrs Memorial, Gun Park.
Telangana Employees Union leader Vittal, Ex MLA Dr Chandravathi and Dr Mateenuddin Quadri were also sworn-in as members of TSPSC.
Finance Minister Eetala Rajender, Education Minister Jagadish Reddy, and Chief Secretary Rajiv Sharma were among those who present at the occasion.
Speaking to the media after the swearing-in ceremony, Ghanta Chakrapani promised that the year 2015 will be a recruitment year for Telangana. He said that syllabus of the competitive exams would be modified to remove AP history and include Telangana history.
Chakrapani also assured that the functioning of TSPSC would be completely transparent with zero corruption.
