Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao advised his Andhra Pradesh counterpart N Chandrababu Naidu to concentrate on his his state’s issues without creating trouble for the new-born state.
Addressing a gathering at Telangana Bhavan on Wednesday after admitting former PCC chief D Srinivas into the party, Chandrasekhar Rao came down heavily on Naidu for obstructing each and every work of Telangana government.
“AP leaders were caught red-handed for their roguery. Yet they are shouting at TS. AP did not give us power, it froze the joint accounts in various banks of common institutions. The money received from Delhi in the combined account is not shared by AP with us. AP did not cooperate with Telangana in admissions and other examinations,” Rao alleged.
Rao went on to advise Naidu saying, “Let us do our work in our respective states. You have your own problems. It is better you concentrate on AP issues. You have 13 districts. Better concentrate on them instead of making an issue over Hyderabad.”
‘’Telangana is a new state that came into existence with lots of hopes and aspirations. It has to prove itself with development. Now, party politics should not come in the way for development. Leaders of all other parties should show some political maturity and help development of the state,” Rao said.
A former Congress president of the undivided Andhra Pradesh, Srinivas joined the TRS in the presence of Chandrasekhar Rao here.
“I salute D Srinivas for showing political maturity and joining the TRS,” he said. Speaking on the occasion, Rao said Srinivas’ move to join the TRS should not be seen as a routine political move, but an effort to strive for a glorious Telangana.
‘’I thank AICC president Sonia Gandhi for delivering Telangana. I congratulate KCR for achieving separate state,” Srinivas said.
Two ZPTCs, three MPPs, 10 corporators and 30 sarpanches from Congress and TDP state secretary N Venkataiah joined the TRS along with Srinivas.
