Hyderabad, April 07: The sentiments and the aspirations of the people of Telangana are being neglected. In order to foil those evil designs and the conspiracies of the capitalists with the help of media, Deccan T.V. is being launched very soon for this purpose. It is being started with the motto of seeking justice for the Minorities and also to promote the cause of separate Telangana State.
Mr. KLN Prasad released the logo of Deccan T.V. at FAPCCI Auditorium yesterday.
Mr. Zaheeruddin Ali Khan, Managing Editor of Siasat Urdu Daily who is also the Chairman and Managing Director of Deccan TV (Voice of Telangana) welcomed the guests.
The logo was to be released by Mr. Justice Markandey Katju but due to his anti- Telangana remark he was boycotted,
Prof. Kodandaram, Chairman of Telangana Political Joint Action Committee, Mr. Nagam Janardhan Reddy, Dr. K.Keshava Rao, Mr. V.Srinivasa Rao, Prof. Haragopal, Mr. Devi Prasad (Telangana NGO’s) Mr. Sailesh Reddy, Mr. E.Rajinder, Mr. M.Ved Kumar, Mr. Goverdhan, Dr. Gopalakrishna, Mr. Mohammed Ali Baig and others participated in the meeting.
Prof. Kodandaram expressed his best wishes for Deccan T.V. and hoped that it would be successful in fulfilling the expectations and aspirations of the people of Telangana. He expressed his anger on the remarks made by Justice Markandey Katju. He said that in article 3 of the constitution of India, there is a provision for the formation for smaller states.
Justice Katju has opposed this constitutional provision and also the people of Telangana. He desired the people of Telangana to associate themselves with Deccan T.V.
Prof. Haragopal expressed his anxiety on the role of media and said that the freedom of the press in being misused. Citing the examples of misuses, he quoted that English media repeated the news item of “Beef Festival” held in Osmania University throughout the day but it didn’t project the voce of Telangana people and the suicides committed by the students of Osmania University. It didn’t think essential to telecast the news of students’ Suicides.
Speaking on this occasion the chairman and Managing Director of Deccan TV, Mr. Zaheeruddin Ali Khan assured that the motto of Deccan TV is to communicate the voice of Telangana outside India.
He hoped that Deccan TV would fulfill its objectives and would be helpful in raising the voice of Telangana. He further told Deccan TV would be the Voice of every citizen. He told that in the wake of conspiracies against Telangana Movement, the role of media has gained importance. He told that the capitalists of Andhra are crushing the voice and the sentiment of the People of Telangana. They are making attempts to shatter the minds of the people and to suppress the voice of people. They are crushing the aspiration of the people of Telangana Under their feet. Appropriate reply to these conspiracies would be given through Deccan T.V. It will pay more attention on the problems of Minorities and other depressed sections of society. It would continue a campaign for creating awareness among people. Mr. V.Srinivas, Mr. Devi Prasad, Mr. E.Rajender, Dr. Keshava Rao and others also addressed the gathering.
