The Telangana government, which aims to provide quality education with international standards to its students, will launch innovative programmes from the next academic year in collaboration with the British government.
Chief minister K Chandrasekhar Rao conveyed the decision to British cultural affairs minister Rob Lynes and British deputy High Commissioner who were part of the delegation that called on KCR at the Secretariat on Thursday.
The delegation congratulated the chief minister for the innovative measures taken up by the Telangana government in improving the standards of education in the state and assured of full cooperation from the British government.
“The KG to PG free education scheme will be introduced next year and the government will train master trainers for it,” KCR said and sought Britain’s help in imparting training. KCR said engineering colleges will be linked to the industry to provide employable skills to students during their academic life.
The British delegation also decided to help the government in its Green Master Plan initiative and sought the government’s help in setting up the proposed Central Institute of English and Foreign Languages (Ciefl) conference in Hyderabad.
