Bhupalpally will be made revenue division soon: KCR

Bhupalpally would be made a revenue division soon, said Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao, while reviewing the development works here on Friday.

He said a bus stop would come up soon with Rs. 50 lakh contribution from MPLADS of Kadiam Srihari and the rest from the SCCL and Genco. The State government would construct buildings for all departments, besides a 100-bedded hospital at Bhupalpally and 50-bedded hospital at Chityal mandal headquarters.

The Chief Minister held a review meeting with all the officials and public representatives in the presence of people. He said there were 22 electricity sub-stations and three more would be sanctioned soon to strengthen the power supply position. The 293-km Panchayat Raj roads would be widened and new roads would be laid.

Referring to the ash issue in Dubbapalli and Madhavaraopalli villages from the KTPP, the Chief Minister said the two villages would be adopted by the SCCL to ensure development and address people’s problems.

“The Telangana districts receive 265 tmc of rainwater every year. If we can conserve it, there will be no drought,” Mr. Rao said, adding that the government has decided to plant 40,000 saplings in each village every year for the next three years. He went round the Kakatiya Thermal Power Plant (KTPP) at Chelpur and inspected the ongoing works. He instructed the officials to expedite works and supply power at the earliest.

Earlier in the day, Mr. Rao visited slums in Hanamkonda where he interacted with the residents of Deendayal Nagar and others.

Speaker S. Madhusdhana Chary, Deputy Chief Minister T. Rajaiah, MP Kadiam Srihari and others accompanied the Chief Minister during his visit.
