   Tamilians were more than a match for these crooked guys, anyone would get mad at these people’s unreasonable demands, and tamilians literally threw them out, but fate and so many of other factors which we are getting to know, only now, had been very cruel to us, to have got forcibly drawn into this unholy alliance with these parasites..

   We had lived happily with people speaking different languages, for hundreds of years, but just a few years and the true colours of these guys became apparent and we have been in the battle mode since then…

   My mother would always speak of the gloruous days of her childhood, when they did not know andhra people, excepting for seeing them on the cinema…They had everything then, in plentiful and with no interaction with these aliens, it must have been a really happy life..

   No wonder then, i can never make her understand the discrimination and ridicule faced by me with these aliens..When I was a child I used to tell her that all the aunties are laughing at your language, she would dismiss it by saying, ‘I am not going to change mine, let them laugh..’

   But I would blush and camouflage my language when I spoke to aunties, and my mother has the last laugh now, as when I decided to get back to my language, my mother was the only one who spoke it, true to her word…and I had relearnt everything from her…

     Same here Vijayshree… I too faced lot of language harassment, like every Telanganite faced and we forcefully happen to change our accent and converted ours to ‘andhra words’. Movement has given back our own Identity, thanks to the movement. Now also they have not changed yet, still give bad comments on our language in neighborhood, offices, and where ever we go. Sometimes i even wonder, are they ‘humans’ or some ‘failed experiment’ of God !

     I have seen many instances in various offices where andhras hate Tamilians and Tamilians hate andhras, now i got to know why

       Today, I read in the times of india, under ‘Power of the tongue’ today being mother language day, about how tollywood has been, playing field of various telugu dialects..I am repeating a quote from the same piece, I think Mission telengana should also see this and give coverage to it. I am reproducing, verbatim, the part which is relevant to us, -

       Nandi award winning filmmaker, sunil kumar reddy believes that ‘cinema happens to reflect the predominant prejudice more by accident than by design.’ He puts the historic upheavals in persepective saying,

       ‘Traditionally, the best of art,culture and literature develop by the riverside.That’s because the land is so fertile that working for three months in a year will ensure they have enough to live off for the rest of the year,unlike people living in the jungles and hills who have to work hard everyday for their daily bread.

       Since their basic needs are taken care of, people living in the fertile plains(Godavari,Krishna,Guntur) have more time to spend on artistic and literary pursuits, thereby setting the standards of art and culture.’

       He is clearly explaining his own quirky reason, for the dominance of the dialect from these areas and adds that these guys actually set high standards in art and culture, if one goes by the standard set by tollywood, we can see why there are so many rapes and kidnappings and murders in this state..

       Shameless guy, we are from jungle and hills, so we have to work hard;..

       I could not help laughing at such brazen admission to a national newspaper and also getting angry at the same time..
